It’s the school holidays, so getting any painting done is… challenging. However this “opportunity” has given me time to work on a few non art related projects, like building a guitar rack for the many guitars in the house that seem to breed like tribbles! I also finally got to install the mantelpiece we built a while back that has been languishing in the shed for the last few months.
It’s not exactly an “Ideal Home” photo shoot as the hearth needs cleaning and polishing, the Alium seed heads have been kind of dumped in the bucket and the fire tools need replacing, but it’s a big improvement on the hole in the wall that was there! Michelle’s a bit of a Lord of the Rings fan, so I gave the paintwork a Tolkien motif. The cards are from Ezra’s 14th birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Ez’!
The guitar rack was fashioned out of some off-cuts of ply that we used for cupboard doors up in the loft.
They’re not all mine by the way. Only one of these is mine, the resonator, but it’s proving a great way to keep them together and out of the way. Anyway, there you go. Hopefully back to art soooon!
