Some of our favourite images come almost as a gift. I was laying outside this morning with this Giant feather grass / Golden oats (Stipa gigantea) framed against the sky above my head and thought it might make a cool shot. Well apart from turning it the right way up (I was viewing it upside down) and putting it through a couple of simple filters, this is how it was shot on a lowly 3.2mpx phone camera.
Shot on phone this morning and put through Snapseed for filtering. Stipa gigantea against the sky.
Here’s another of a Poppy, taken a week or so back just before it was torn to bits by the wind. I think it’s nice that its brief life was immortalised before it disappeared.
“People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades.” 1 Peter 1:24 (Bible)
“As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.” Psalm 103: 15-16
